Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is a reading program that encourages the reading of different types of genres.
Students are encouraged to read these titles throughout the school year. During the last 2
weeks of school, homerooms create a team of 6 players that will battle other homerooms. Each
battle consists of questions related to character, setting, plot, and details from each book. This
year our list contains 10 Bluegrass Award Nominees and 10 titles recommended by our very
own Lincoln Elementary Staff! I hope you enjoy the 2014-15 Battle of the Books List!

  1. I have injoyed the battle of the books so far, and I deffinetly see why thay are the battle of the books. I have read a couple of the battle of the books, but I've been reading the book The Lightning Theif and I have to say it is a very long book, but very interesting. I think that all kids should read at least one battle of the book, because they are really interesting, and some of them are really funny! I like the battle of the books, and I think they're a great idea.
